SOLO for Toshiba is a unique label printing system designed to remove the necessity of having a computer connected to your thermal label printer at all times.
At the heart of the system is the intelligent SOLO keyboard, a programmable device which is capable of storing label templates and product information sent to it by a PC computer running the inclusive SOLO Studio label design software. Once the SOLO keyboard has been loaded with label information it can be disconnected from the computer and taken to where the label printer is located. When the keyboard is plugged in to the printer the operator can recall the label templates and print them at will using just a few key presses as many times as required!
This makes SOLO ideal for applications where having a computer near to the label printer is not desirable or not possible such as in a food processing environmentor where the label print operator is not computer savvy.
Simple to use label design software.
SOLO Studio has been created to mimic the design concepts of the leading PC based label design applications on the market. This means that users familiar with traditional label design software will find SOLO Studio easy to learn and operate.
SOLO Studio supports many different label design tools including text, pictures & logos, barcodes, variable data including product database connectivity, serial numbering, batch coding and date stamping.
SOLO Studio will adapt to the capabilities of your label printer to allow the creation of any size of label that the printer can handle and so labels from the size of stamps to the size of an A4 page can be designed with equal ease.
SOLO Studio provides full control over the functions of your thermal printer allowing you to control print speed, print head temperature and any auto-cutter or peel-off modules that your printer may be fitted with.
SOLO Weigh for "catch weight" based labelling.
SOLO can even be tailored to operate in conjunction with a weigh scale in order to allow the user to print labels incorporating weights and weight derived pricing. SOLO Weigh has been developed by KTEC Group using the SOLO keyboard as a basis for this very purpose. SOLO Weigh comprises a SOLO intelligent keyboard, a RADWAG high quality weigh scale and any Toshiba thermal label printer from the Toshiba range.
SOLO Weigh can be tailored to work with various capacity weigh scales and is even capable of tallying the items weighed in a batch and providing an end-of-batch tally label.
SOLO Weigh can be combined with any Toshiba thermal label printer, from the smallest desktop model to the largest industrial unit. The SOLO keyboard can also be fitted with a protective transparent membrane cover making the whole system safe to use in a food processing environment such as a butchers, bakers or fishmongers.
